a newb needs help
« on: June 21, 2007, 08:24:18 AM »
I just got Yabause and ISO I wanted to run, but when I run it I hear the sound but there is a black screen and a squiggly line in the middle. I am running on Windows XP and on default emulator settings. What is going on and how can I fix this to make the game run smoothly.

Could you give the name of the game ?

Maybe you could check on www.emu-compatibility.com  (compatibility list)

Btw, I've just added a link to emu-compatibility on the http://yabause.org/compatibility-list/ page :)

Guardian Heroes is the one i first tried but it does it with all the other games Ive tried. Also it seems that other games have screwed up images or run choppy as I play them (ex. Area 51).

Weird.

- Try to get the last GFX card drivers.
- Get the last DirectX.

Do you runs an ISO or Original game ?

- Remove all stuff about Yabause.
- Download again Yabause 0.8.5.
- Unzip it.
- Setup Yabause.

- Do you use Alcohol for the virtual drive ?
- Have you try emulated bios (remove the path in the bios path) ?
- If emulated bios don't works, get 3 bios (european, japanese and american) and test the game
- Close all useless programs (msn, p2p, etc...)
- Do you test the game with another emulator ? Does it works ?
