mdf and mds files what to do with for 0.9.9
« on: January 22, 2009, 11:42:40 PM »
Hi i have two files with nights into dreams, a .mdf and .mds. I converted the .mdf to an iso and tried to load it but keep getting to the player screen.
Can anyone tell me how to boot the game I presume you dont have to burn a disc, but if you do then I will. Cheers.

I never tried it for NIGHTS, but for DRAGON FORCE I changed the ending from .mdf to .iso, then I didn't apply any BIOS to the game. Everytime I applied any sort of BIOS, I also kept getting sent to the music player screen. Once I took off the BIOS, and hit run, it went to a black screen for a second and then loaded the game right up. I'm using 0.9.7 on a Mac, but I don't think it matters.

I don't know if this helps, just telling you what I've done so far for other games to get them working. Good luck.

The only way Nights will work is if you convert to a bin/cue format. The game uses a screwy track layout which ends up being destroyed if you convert to iso.

My best recommendation is to install daemon tools and mount images from there.
