Opengl problem : vertical & horizontal lines
« on: March 05, 2013, 04:29:57 PM »
When I played any games on my labtop (i5 core, RAM 4Go, NVIDIA gt540M, windows 7 32bits) with opengl renderer, it display like raster with vertical and horizontal clear lines and it's a bit ugly...
SO I wonder if everybody get the same thing or just me and if only me, where can it come from ?

Hi, Idk if it s the same bug but i have an horizontal line at 50% of the screen everytime there is a simple 2d picture at the screen, never in animation or video. Not really disturbing, it s just for information ^^.

Could you post some screenshot(s) of the problem? Does it happens with every game?

For me, i can put some SS but nothing special on it, just horizontal white line in openGL depend of resolution. Full screen 1 lines, with toolbar 2 lines, windowed 4 lines.
If I change the resolution (windows taille) in windowed mode with the mouse I can have up to 8 10 lines.
In all games. only in openGL mode but only on somes etapes (during start screen for exemple but not in game). This bug is only on 2d textures, never on 3D, you can see it on a splash screen but not on the rest of display.

I have found an exemple on youtube. But i think it s a know bug.

Well after some tests with some games this is what I've got regarding this issue :
- Only happen in Opengl mode
- Happens moslty on nbg1, nbg2, nbg3 layer (for games I've tested so far)
- Depends on the window resolution (it draws more or less lines depending on window resolution)
- In 'window' and 'keep ratio' mode you'll get random horizontal lines; while on 'Fullscreen' mode it seems to be perfect most of the time (at least, I've found one game with vertical lines in fullscreen mode : sega rally)

Are you getting the same behavior ?

Hello I have the same problem ....

configuration: This software is good, but it is slow!

I have this problem with the setting: Open gl, is faster, great fps but with errors on the screen, lines, flash times, it appears in several games ...

I am Brazilian and I can not speak English, sorry if this confusing words.

My computer has CPU: Intel dual core 2.5 ghz, 3GB DDR2 800mhz ram, Video card: Geforce 8600GT 512mb, OS: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit ....

You could update the emulator to work better at least in the main games .... Sonic, Virtua Fighter, Sega Raly.

I'm watching the site, and am testing the games, then I will make a donation

Please make sure your drivers are up to date. We've managed to fix a few graphics issues on the current code, but I can't guarantee it'll fix your specific problem and a lot of those issues tend to be graphics card driver related.

I can say I've also had the problem.

However it's only when I either manually increase the size the window or maximize it.   If I toggle fullscreen alt-enter, the problem goes away.
